RoboMission Category Updated Announcement for all teams
1. Updated Date and Time
- Due to many groups requesting to have another date for Yangon, we have decided to open the competition on a rolling basis by booking the venue for your own group.
- This allows all registered groups to come to our competition venues in Yangon and Mandalay within July 27, 2024 to August 11, 2024 by booking the date and time ahead.
2. Competition Format
- Each group will be given 3 hours as a time slot.
- 0 - 90 mins: Practice Time.
- 90 - 105 mins: Check Time.
- 105 - 120 mins: Round 1.
- 120 - 135 mins: Coaching Time.
- 135 - 150 mins: Practice Time.
- 150 - 165 mins: Check Time.
- 165 - 180 mins: Round 2.
- This format allows teams to have their robots assembly ahead of time.
- For this tournament format, the following ranking criteria would apply:
- Points of best run
- Time of best run
- Points of 2. best run
- Time of 2. best run
- All scoring sheets will have to be signed and submitted by teams before they leave the competition area.
3. Venue and Areas
- For the competition venue in Yangon, it will be at the WRO Head Office in Times City Yangon, Shophouse 215, Above Tea-dot.
- For the competition venue in Mandalay, it will be at one of our school partners, CIY.CLUB Mandalay Campus in Mingalar Mandalay Campus.
- Coaches, and parents will have to wait outside the competition room.
- Participants are only allowed to bring in the robotic materials and a controller.
- No contact with coaches or parents can be made unless coaching time is given.
4. How to Participate :
- Book a time slot for your group using the link below.
- Please note that each group is allowed only one booking. We will not allow any other attempts. Only the first booking will be accepted.
- If your group fails to join for your booking time, you will be automatically disqualified.
- The venue booking is on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis.
- Bring your own materials and arrive 15 minutes before your booking slot. The timer will start with or without all team members ready.
- Each team will be given a surprise rule as soon as the timer starts.
- In case, there are any rule violations, WRO Myanmar reserves the right to have the final decision.

5. Certificate and announcements
- As soon as the team finishes their round, all participants will be given a participation certificate.
- All the scores will be signed by the participants and taken into record.
- The official announcement for teams that will proceed to the national finals will be made within the last week of August where all teams have finished their rounds.
- Regional Champions will be given their respective prizes and teams may claim their prizes through delivery or at the WRO Myanmar Head Office.
6. Prizes:
All awards will be based on the official marking criteria and rubrics of World Robot Olympiad™ Association.
World Robot Olympiad™ Association is an independent non-profit organization. All revenue from sponsorships and fees is invested in support of our mission, which is to promote robotics in STEM education worldwide.
Prizes in the National Championship will be awarded from our dedicated sponsors and will be announced.
Any individuals, organizations or associations, who would like to contribute to the prize pool can contact eddi@wro-mm.com.
7. In case of conflicts:
All participants, including judges and coaches will have to sign the WRO ethics code. In case of conflicts or any issues regarding the tournaments, the World Robot Olympiad Myanmar team has the final decision.
